Full Metal Dojo is back! This May 9th at Live House Studio the FMD team will be taking over the venue once again to host FMD5: Made in Thailand – A Thai MMA Tournament featuring 2 additional headlining bouts.
The FMD5 Tournament will consist of 3 x 4 men tournaments, with all fights taking place on the night. The competition will be divided into three weightclass brackets:
- Bantamweight 135lbs/61.2kg
- Featherweight 145lbs/65.6kg
- Lightweight 155lbs/70kg
The fighters will be competing for a cash prize of 20,000THB, and the opportunity to take a Pro fight in FMD6.
The tournaments fighters will be announced in the next coming days.
In addition to the tournament format, the event will also feature two highly anticipated fights:
A Flyweight bout between Pongsiri “The Smiling Assassin” Mitsatit (Team Quest Thailand) and Nattapong “Shazam” Limpwattanachai (Team Jomkwan Bangkok).
And headlining the show, the most intriguing fight of them all, a true super fight between two uncanny competitors.
FMD founder and host Jon Nutt will be looking to up his 0-1 record when the faces off with FMD Referee Dana Boulin 2-1. This has to be the first time a promotor has fought a referee in an event in which they are also working, and it’s actually going to be the second time Mr.Nutt has hosted, mc’ed and fought at the same show on the same night.
Co-hosting the event the Thai Top Fitness and Fitwhey athlete Mark Abbott will be announcing the show in Thai for native speaking fight fans. And who can forget about our beautiful ring girls? Nithima Attasophonwatthana, Noona Brocuria, Gift Gitzy, Yuii Chanidapha and Ampawan Chainam will all be there letting taking pics with the crowd, and letting you know what round it is.
For those who’ve had the opportunity to witness an FMD show in person, you’ll know that’s it much more than just explosive MMA fights; it’s a complete event experience. Bands and DJs set the atmosphere, and Jon Nutt’s charismatic personality carries the show like no other. Add to that a stack fight card with exciting fights, and you’ll got yourself a night that’s not to be missed!
